The way memories change through time and different points of view, in that way Jeroen Witvliet’s work is also subject to change. He manipulates the image so that they are past the point of reference to a recognisable happening. Eventually, reality is something that keeps eluding us because it is different at each moment. For Witvliet, then, the difference between night and day is only subjective, a term given by human beings to cope with their memory and experience. Last change to visit the exhibition Day / Night / Day this weekend. More info: zerp.nl/daynightday.
